The NCPR newsroom will gather all of today’s news about COVID-19, the new coronavirus, here. Latest updates at the top. Click here for all of our coverage. Find the archive for all of our daily live blogs here. If you have good info to share, please email us: [email protected].

8:20 am:  The following counties are now urging travelers from NYC and other urban areas to stay away during the COVID-19 outbreak.  Essex, Franklin, Warren, Washington and Saratoga Counties.  If you are in the North Country now from outside the region, please quarantine yourself for 14 days and contact the county public health department wherever you are to let them know you’re here.  REMEMBER.  Anyone in the region can be carrying the coronavirus, not just people from outside the region.  The only way to stay as safe as possible is to STAY HOME.  If you must go out, maintain a six-foot distance between yourself and other people.

8:15 am:  Morning, North Country.  Here’s what we’re looking at today:  How are prison officials in the region working to contain COVID-19?  Will yesterday’s improved statewide numbers on the spread-rate of the coronavirus hold up?  How rapidly can NY expand hospital beds?  Tune in later this morning to hear Gov. Cuomo speak live during his daily briefing.  Remember that we’ll also have an on-air update at 12:04pm today and during Story of the Day just before 5pm.
